After a long search TAW Radio Controlled Car Club will very soon have a purpose built off road track in Barnstaple. This is for electric RC cars only NO IC.

Our goal is to create a club and track open to all ages and abilities where young drivers can learn from those who are more experienced at setup, tuning and racing. Many of us started with Tamiya back in the day, lets get the kids racing and enjoying their first cars.
As such we will run brushed and brushless classes with the aim being to have competitive racing to suit all budgets.
Young drivers will soon get disheartened when they’re Hornet can’t compete with an XRay.
We use the IRace transponder system for lap timing. These are available from www.kamtec.co.uk and just plug into
a spare receiver socket and need clear line of site to the gantry above the track

Please be aware that there will be a race fee per driver per session with a reduced rate for TAWRCCC members. 
ALL DRIVERS MUST HAVE PROOF OF FULL, CURRENT BRCA MEMBERSHIP IN ORDER TO RACE.

Racing will be held every Sunday (weather permitting) from 10 – 12PM

Right now we are planning and waiting for the ground to dry out so we can start excavating the track, which will be approximately 29m x 18m – see below.
